You may have noticed some of these common signs of cheating in your partner:
- Seems distant or disconnected and/or sexually disinterested
- Lies more frequently
- Goes out more frequently than usual, and more often without me
- Keeps a close watch on their cellular phone and/ or appears to delete text and voice messages frequently
- Has whereabouts you cannot account for at times
- Takes more time than expected to return home from work or when going out
- Makes unusual purchases, or you have found receipts from locations or times where you were not together
- Has made recent changes to their appearance or exercise habits (e.g., haircut, clothes, going to the gym more often)
- Receives calls or text messages from strange numbers or people you don’t recognize
- Behaves defensively when asked about their whereabouts or behavior
- Uses the computer or Internet more frequently or secretly
Even if you only have a “feeling” that something is wrong in your relationship, you deserve the truth and peace of mind to put your worries at ease. But confronting your partner without evidence can lead to even more problems. Cat’s Eye Private Investigations can obtain proof for you that will not only provide you with peace of mind, but also with quality investigative reports that are legally-admissible court evidence, should you need it.
How do we find out the truth?
The best way to determine whether your partner is cheating on you is to conduct surveillance on them when they are away from you. First, we will work with you to establish an investigative plan that meets the needs of your unique situation, planning surveillance at the most opportune time in order to most efficiently and effectively conduct the investigation. Our investigators will follow your partner and obtain videotape footage of their activities and any associates. You will receive the footage on a video CD at the close of the case that, along with the investigative report, serves as an accurate and clear representation of what occurred during surveillance. You will almost feel as though you were there yourself.
What kind of evidence will we obtain?
The majority of cheaters are very discreet, and it is rare for them to be caught “in the act.” However, since proof of an affair is so hard to obtain, in most cases the court only requires circumstantial proof of adultery, evidence of “opportunity and “inclination” to engage in an affair.
Evidence of “opportunity” includes observing and/or documenting parties as they enter a home, vehicle, hotel room, or other location where they could be alone, and then observing them as they emerge together later. For example, observing a man enter a female’s residence only to emerge in the morning, after his vehicle remained there through the night, indicates an “overnight stay” and is clear evidence of opportunity for an affair. To show “inclination,” evidence might include small displays of affection, such as kissing, holding hands, standing closely together, hugging, or any other romantic behavior. Emails, phone calls, and receipts can also be considered evidence of inclination, and along with opportunity, it may be enough to prove adultery or infidelity.
